About Our Graduate Intern
Cassidy Kinard
Graduate Intern
Cassidy Kinard is currently a graduate student at Charleston Southern University, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling through a faith-integrated perspective. Prior to attending Charleston Southern University, Cassidy completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Ministry from Liberty University.
Cassidy has completed additional clinical training, including the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) training through the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She has also participated in both missions and study abroad experiences in Costa Rica, where she gained further knowledge and insight into topics related to sexual abuse, trauma, and addiction. Cassidy has an interest in working with individuals impacted by trauma and sexual abuse, as well as supporting children, adolescents, and women experiencing anxiety, life transitions, and emotional challenges.
When Cassidy is not assisting clients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Lance, and their dog, Jasper. She loves being outdoors, whether hiking, visiting a park, or spending time at the beach. She is passionate about helping clients process difficult experiences, understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop skills that promote resilience and healing.
